I attended Doncaster Airport to capture the arrival of Air Silkway 747-400 arrival for the DSAF.co.uk website , unusually for a cargo flight the aircraft arrived on time and featured a liveried aircraft, most cargo 747 that arrive at Doncaster Airport are plain white so this made for a nice change.
The last trackday of 2016 didnt dissapoint, a full track of 65 attendees were met with cold but bright conditions, an early oil spill caused a short stoppage for the tracktime to be halted, while the marshalls did a great job of cleaning up, BMW M cars were out in force at this fast track and were stretching there legs down the Bentley Straight.
Always a please to shoot at the 'mini nuburgring' , a great selection of cars met the challenge of a damp track, but conditions did improve into the afternoon, great to see some of the cadwell regulars exploring the limits of the track adhesion.
30 cars on the booking list meant plenty of tracktime for all attendees, Cars ranged from Clios to a 3 month old Porsche, but for me I turbo'd MX-5 throwing flame provided me with a challenge to capture the biggest flame!
Always great to shoot at Croft , espacially when harvest is finished and the corrn flies arent around, a cold but bright day met the attendees and with with only one stoppage for a breakdown there was plenty of track time for all! There had been bad weather previously and recent rallycross events had left the track very dusty which led to tricky conditions for photography.
I attended Cadwell Park to capture the NHMC stages rally at Cadwel Park , with the promise of night stages at this iconic venue it was a must do in the calender, the rain came and went during the day and some large accidents resulted in some lengthy days testing even the hardened rallies fans willingness to stay for the aforementioned night stages, but for those who were patient the sight of a Darrien at night is hard to beat!
Newly Crowned Auto 66 Champion Arron Staniforth invited me to Cadwell Park to capture the final round of the season. Arron competed on his Fireblade in 4 events across the day. his best finish of the day was 2nd.
British Supersport entrants , Wigley racing asked me to attend the final round of the 2016 British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch, I attended the full 3 days and it was a pleasure to watch the Wigley familly preperations for the races, unfortunately the brothers didnt achive the race results the were hoping for with a crash in practice and in the final race of the day.
